| Tibetan Music by Yadong -- Celestial Burial |
Author:tibet tour Source:tibet tour |
Tibetans love to sing about the beauty of the Plateau and about their families (especially their mothers). Tibetans are always singing and dancing. Anyone who has taken a long bus ride in Tibet will no doubt have stories of Tibetans singing at the tops of their lungs. There have been many occasions where my living room has turned into a ring of Tibetan dancing. Some Tibetans speak Chinese well, so it is becoming more popular for Tibetan CD's to be in both Chinese and Tibetan. Many Chinese who live in the Tibet also like Tibetan music.
Yadong is a singer popular with Tibetans in Sichuan province. His song "Longing for the Sacred Eagle" made him one of Tibetan pop's representative figures after it was broadcast nationwide.
