Luosang Caiwang, manager of Tibet Saikang Travel Service, said that "winter in Lhasa is not that cold and snowy weather is unusual. Xu Dinghai, manager of the Shanghai Railway Travel Service, said the price of his company's Tibet itinerary has dropped by 25 per cent.

According to airline outlets, a Shanghai-Lhasa plane ticket now enjoys a 20 to 30 per cent discount. With luck, a traveler could get a plane ticket for as low as 1200 yuan.
