This is the only three star luxury hotel in Shigatse, located in the far south of the town. The Tashilhunpo Monastery is about one km away and the Bank of China is almost next door. If you are heading west, this is the only place to cash your travelers' cheques before you reach Zhangmu.
The Shigatse Hotel (Rikaze fandian) has been reecently renovated and the hotel provide single rooms, double rooms and a suite. Rooms are decorated in Chinese and Tibetan style, fully equipped and with attached bathroom. Hot water is provided 24 hours and there is heating during winter.
There is a restaurant within the hotel providing a Chinese buffet, sauna, gymnasium, bar, business center and meeting rooms are also available. This hotel provides comfortable room at a reasonable price, and there are up to 20% discounts available between November and April.
