The builders of the Qinghai-Tibet railway have vowed to effectively protect the environment of Tibet during the construction there.

The construction teams are cooperating closely with the Tibetan Environmental Protection Bureau. The head of the teams says the builders will pay special attention to protecting nature reserves and vegetation. They will also receive training in environmental protection and strictly limit the area affected by construction.

Tibetan environmental protection officials say they will make more efforts to monitor the ecological environment alongside the Qinghai-Tibet railway.
