The Second China Railway Construction Bureau Group Co.Ltd is a grade A State construction projects contractor and also a grade A large railway project construction enterprise.
It involves project construction in fields of railway, road, airport, port, metro, urban facilities and other industrial and civil construction programs. And its installation service ranges from railway electrification, upholstery, communication and electricity to signal equipment. Approved by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, the group can involve foreign trade business independently. It also has the expertise in manufacturing of machinery, installation and repairing, controlled blasting, real estate development, engineering designing and technical consulting and organizing large and complicated project construction.
The group currently has more than 30,000 staff including 9146 technicians. And the total assets of the group, including 1593 big construction vehicles, reached 5.3 billion yuan.
The Second China Railway Construction Bureau Group Co.Ltd evolves from the former Second Construction Bureau under the Ministry of Railways, which was set up in June 1950.
It participated the railway and engineering construction projects in 15 countries and regions including Nipal, Yemen and Laos. It also participated construction programs of 24 provinces in China, including Chengdu-Chongqing Railway, Chengdu-Baoji Railway, Nanning-Kunming Railway and Beijing-Kowloon Railway.
The group was listed at the top of China's largest construction enterprises in 1994 and 1995 and awarded the title of the best construction enterprise of China in 1998.
