Building a Green Wall for Qinghai-Tibet Railway

Farmer Wang Weiming and his son have planted some 600,000 trees along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway now being constructed in a bid to protect the environment.

The trees built by 68-year-old Wang and his son Wang Guijun, from Wulan County of Qinghai Province, cover some 4,400 mu and run for 10 kilometres along.

During the past decade, Wang Weiming has gained experiences in planting trees, and began to plant trees each year after autumn sets in.
