Still Beautiful released by A-jia, a Tibetan girl band

May 16, China's first Tibetan-girl band, "A-jia" released its first musical album "Still Beautiful" at Makye Ame, a famous Tibetan-style restaurant in Beijing with nationwide medias attended.

A-jia firstly appeared to audiences in 2002. On the stage of CCTV Singer Competition, A-jia showed their talent to audiences all over the country. Later, they attended so many performances without a stop, such as "The Same Song", "Heart To Heart", "2003 Spring Festival Gala", "2004 Spring Festival Gala", "2004 Summer Palace Gala for Passing the Flame" and "Tibetan Losar Gala".

According to the famous singer in China, Han Hong who acts as the producer of one item of the album, A-jia is good at Hip-Hop Rap and will attract more and more people with their special voice and wonderful dances.

A-jia is busy with their music cause and they also pay much attention to helping those who are in need. They have taken part in many welfare activities and funded about 60 Tibetan orphans in Lhasa Dekyi Orphange. In 2005, they were awarded as the "Almsgiver Star of China Children Fund Association". A-jia said that the first 100 album selling amount will be donated to the Lhasa Dekyi Orphanage.

 

As planned, the album "Still Beautiful" will be on sale all over China and they also want to deliver their traditional Tibetan music to the whole world with their own musical products.
