Members (out of five) of Mani Stone Band

Mani Stone Band is consisted of five students studying in Beijing from Tibet Autonomous Region. They come from Central University For Nationalities, Beijing Institute of Technology and Beijing Sports University. The same hometown and philharmonic habit make them get together and come to the birth of the band, which is nearly 3 months long till now.

"Mani Stone" is a kind of stone carved with Tibetan Buddhist lection. It helps people seek luminosity, similar with Tibetan prayer wheels. So, they name the band as Mani Stone to bring beautiful spirit happiness to people with lyrics.

The band is deeply affected by Vajara (Tianchu) Band which is a famous Tibetan rock band and they keep in touch with each other. Mani Stone Band has gotten lots of support from Vajara Band who wins respect in the circle.

The Mani Stone not only writes songs in Tibetan, but also in mandarin. They also make changes from remixing others' works to self producing. Their songs basically reflect their life actuality which draw people' care and resonance.

"Yes, there is some contradiction between band activity and study," the crew admits, "However, it worth of spending time for our interest and dream which are meaningful to us. We will try our best to keep it running despite of insufficient financial support."

The band has no plan for after graduation and thereafter. Each of them has very practical anticipation. They choose the right major for campus life suppose to put themselves in future corresponding careers. Currently, releasing the first album becomes their very priority. They are devoting into the goal heart and soul, even suspending all performances for it. Sadly it would be probably the only album throughout their band lifespan but they really care about the result after what they have done so far. Wish their dream comes true with great success.
