DAY 1: XINING-TAER MONASTERY
Today's highlights:
Xining Airport/train station trasfer to hotel, Ta'er Monastery
Details:
Arrive in Xining Caojiabao Airport by air or Xining Railway Station by train. Pick you up and transfer to your hotel to check in. Visit Ta'er Monastery which is the birth place of the founder of the Yellow Sect (also called Gelu Sect) Tsong Khapa. In the Tibetan language, Ta'er Monastery is called "gongben" which means 100, 000 figures of Buddha.
DAY 2: XINING-QINGHAI LAKE-CHAKA-DULAN

Riyue Mountain Pass, Qinghai Lake, Birds Island
Details:
A journey to Riyue mountain pass (The Sun and the Moon mountain), visit the Sun pavilion and the Moon pavilion. Then arrive at Qinghai Lake (Koko Nor), which is the biggest inland salt lake in China . The most charming and attractive place in Qinghai Lake is the Bird Island. It situated on the western shore of the Lake, and because of the receding water off its shores, the Bird Island has been turned into a peninsula. 164 species of birds have been identified at the lake. In spring and summer, the lake is ideal for ornithologists and bird-lovers, such as swan, wild goose, gulls, heron and petrel etc.
Sometimes May, sometimes July, the rape flowers mass at the north bank are in full bloom. This breathtaking vies, you had never before gazed on. After July, we visit Chaka Salt Lake instead , enjoy the sightseeing of Chaka Salt Lake. Stay overnight in Dulan.
DAY 3: DULAN-GOLMUD

Yadan Landform, Charkham Salt Lake, Salt Bridge
Details:
Along the road visit the Xiangride Oasis, Yadan wind erosion view, desert and Charkham Salt Lake and the Salt Bridge. We can also visit the local Tibetan people and if lucky, we can see mirage, desert tornado, forest of desert. Arrive at Golmud at the noon time . Visit the Charkham Salt Lake where we can see the salt crystals, the colorful salt crystals some like corals, some like pagoda, some like flower, some like ivory, some like gem...... Tonight, we stay in Golmud.
DAY 4: GOLMUD-LHASA (QINGHAI-TIBET RAILWAY)

Transfer to Golmud Train Station to take the sky train-Qinghai-Tibet Railway to Lhasa
Details:
In the early morning, we will take the new sky train from Golmud to the Roof of the World-Lhasa. The Qinghai-Tibet Railway connecting mainland China to Lhasa, it is the highest railway in the world. It is 1,118km from Golmud to Lhasa, around 12hours. Along the way, we can visit mount Kunlun, Mt. Tangula and the Hoh Xil National Nature Reserve and Tibetan antelope running on grassland if you are lucky.
Arrive in Lhasa Railway Station in the evening. Our guide in Tibet will meet you, and you will be transferred to your hotel for accommodation.
DAY 5: LHASA SIGHTSEEING

Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street
Details:
Potala Palace, is a structure of massive portions. Its towering image already appearing on various occasions, but your first sight of the Potala will still be an awe-inspiring moment. Potala Palace is a place where you can appreciate the Tibetan culture, religion and art of architecture as well.
Jokhang Temple is the spiritual center of Tibet. Every day, pilgrims from every corner of Tibet trek a long distance to the temple to pray for their now and future. The temple is the product of Han, Tibetan and Nepalese architectural techniques. Barkhor Street, the oldest street in the very traditional city in Tibet.
DAY 6: LHASA-YAMDROKTSO-LHASA

Yamdrok Yumtso Lake
Details:
Drive to visit Yamdrok Yumtso. The sacred lake of Yamdrok Yutso is revered as a talisman, supporting the life-spirit of Tibet. It is said that should its waters dry, Tibet will no longer be habitable. Down to the Lake to have a picnic or hike.
DAY 7: FAREWELL TO LHASA

Hotel shuttle to Lhasa Gonggar Airport or Lhasa Railway Station

Transfer to Gonggar Airport or Lhasa Railway Station to take flight or train out.
