Day 2

Today's Activities: the Tiananmen Square- the Forbidden City- the Temple of Heaven
Today's delightful highlights cover the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. You will be suggested to have Beijing Roasted Duck for dinner at a famous restaurant, followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre.

Today's Activities: Badaling Great Wall-Sacred Way-Ming Tomb-Olympic Stadium
There is an old saying: " He who has not climbed the Great Wall is not a true man", so today we will visit the Badaling Great Wall. After lunch visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. On the way back, we can overlook both the National Stadium - the " bird Nest" and National Aquatics Center- the Water Cube.

Urumqi-Turpan

Today's Activities: Jiaohe Ruins, the Karez Well, the Sugong Pagoda.
Drive to Turpan and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Jiaohe Ruins, the Karez Well and the Sugong Pagoda. During the Han dynasty, Jiaohe was established by the Chinese as a garrison town. Jiaohe Ruins also called Yarkhoto, it is one of the world's largest, oldest, and best-preserved ancient cities.

Turpan-Dunhuang

Today's Activities: Gaochang Ruins, the Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Cave, the Flaming Hill
Visit the Gaochang Ruins- the Uighur capital in AD 850 and a major staging post on the Silk Road until it burned in the 14th century, the Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Caves and the Flaming Hill. Take an overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang.

Day 7

Dunhuang camel riding

Today's Activities: a short camel-riding
Pick you up at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. You will experience a short camel-riding along the Echoing-Sand Dune to reach the Crescent Lake, enjoy the good scenery of gobi.

Dunhuang-Lanzhou

Today's Activities: the Mogao Grottoes, flight to Lanzhou, the Waterwheel Garden
Visit the Mogao Grottoes. The Mogao Grottoes are, simply put, one of the greatest repositories of Buddhist art in the world. Take a flight to Lanzhou and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Waterwheel Garden.

Binglingsi Grottoes

Today's Activities: Binglingsi Grottoes
Visit the Binglingsi Grottoes which is one of the few Buddhist grottoes in China to survive the tumultuous 20 century unscathed. Over a period spanning 1600 years, sculptors dangling from ropes carved 183 niches and scuptures into the porous rock along the dramatic canyon walls.

Lanzhou - Xiahe

Today's Activities: the Sangke Grassland, Tibetan family
Transfer to Xiahe and check in at the hotel. Visit the Sangke Grassland and have a visit to a Tibetan family.

Day 11

Today's Activities: the Labrang Monastery
Labrang Monastery was found in 1709 by the first-generation Jamyang which currently has about 1200 monks. Today, we will visit this monastery and have a watch of the morning devotion there. Drive back to Lanzhou and stay at the hotel.

Lanzhou - Xian

Today's Activities: flight to Xi'an, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Take a flight to Xian. Visit the Eighth Wonder of the World- the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda- Xi'an's most famous landmark built in AD 652. Check in at the hotel.

Xian - Shanghai

Place & Transport: Xian - Shanghai
Today's Activities: the City Wall, the Great Mosque
You are suggested to visit the City Wall, the Great Mosque and have some free time to explore the Bazaar near the Mosque by yourselves. Then drive to Xi'an airport, take a flight to Shanghai and check in your hotel.

Shanghai one day tour

Today's Activities: Yu Garden- Jade Buddha Temple-Shanghai Museum-Nanjing Road and the Bund
Visit Yu Garden -one of the best Suzhou-style gardens in southern China. Then we will visit Jade Buddha Temple (famous Buddhist temple in downtown), and Shanghai Museum- known as the Museum of Ancient Chinese Art, where you will find more than 120,000 precious and rare works of art. Visit Nanjing Road and the Bund-famous waterfront with art-like buildings in China, the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. Transfer you back to hotel after the whole day tour.
