In the morning at 07:30am, the driver and the guide pick up you from the hotel and drive you to the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base to see cute pandas. The Giant Panda has its habitat exclusively in China. It is known worldwide as a rare treasure, a symbol of auspiciousness and friendship and a messenger of peace. The Chengdu Panda Base has not only dedicated itself to giant panda conservation, but has also made great efforts to combine natural scenery and man-made landscapes to create wonderful and humane living areas for giant pandas, red pandas, and other Chinese endangered animals. You spend almost half day at the base and leave at 11:30am normally. And the driver drives you to Jinli street where you can appreciate Chengdu local culture and taste many kinds of snacks.
In the evening, suggest you watch the Sichuan Opera Show which begins at 20:00pm. You pay the entrance fee yourself (180RMB per person). Since you have come to Chengdu, Sichuan, to watch the show is quite deserved to the foreign tourists. Sichuan Opera is characterized by unique solos, refined acting, rich percussion, and talented comedians, whose skills are unparalleled in the world. You can drink chinese tea while enjoy the splendid traditional performances. One of hte highlights is face changing, the unique skills in the opera which may bring your exclamation of surprise.
