China Tour with Yangtze 17-Day (PYR-04)

Day 1 Arrive in Beijing 

Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the capital city of China.

Day 2 Beijing one day tour 

Today's delightful highlights cover the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. You will be suggested to have Beijing Roasted Duck for dinner at a famous restaurant, and then you can choose to watch the lively Peking Opera Show at the Liyuan Theatre. 

 

Day 3 Beijing one day tour 

There is an old saying: " He who has not climbed the Great Wall is not a true man". Today we will visit the Badaling Great Wall. After lunch visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. On the way back, we can overlook both the National Stadium - the " bird Nest" and National Aquatics Center - the Water Cube. 

 

Day 4 Beijing one day self tour 

Only hotel accommodation with breakfast is provided today. We intend to leave the day free for you to absorb something of the vibrant atmosphere of Beijing.
 
Day 5 Beijing one day tour 

Visit the Summer Palace which is a Key Cultural Relics Protection Site of China and containing examples of the ancient arts, following to the Lama Temple next, and go to see the lovely pandas in Beijing Zoo. See off at Beijing Railway Station to take an overnight soft sleeper train to Xi'an. Or you take the flight to Xi'an. Stay overnight in Xi'an.

 

Day 6 Xi'an one day tour 

Visit the famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum built in Qin Dynasty--- the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. Take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a well-known restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists, and then trasfer to the Provincial History Museum which is considered as an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations. 

 

Day 7 Xi'an one day tour 

Have a free day for your own. You are suggested to visit the City Wall, the Great Mosque and have some free time to explore the Bazaar near the Mosque by yourselves. 

 

Day 8 Xi'an to Guilin 

Take a flight from Xi'an to Guilin and have your own time in Guilin.
 
Day 9 Guilin-Yangshuo 

Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven but Yangshuo beasts Guilin. Today we will Transfer you to the pier to board the cruise ship. Then the activities along the Li River and in Yangshuo will be handled by yourselves. Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Upon arrival in Yangshuo, you may have a short bicycle trip to the countryside. Alternatively, you can take an electric car instead of taking bicycles. 

 

Day 10 Yangshuo - Guilin 

Drive you back to Guilin or return to Guilin by yourselves in the morning. The shuttle bus ticket from Yangshuo to Guilin can be purchased easily at the front desk. Upon arrvial, please check in at the hotel by yourselves. You are suggested to visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill the rest of the day.

 
Day 11 Guilin-Chongqing  

Pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the airport to take a flight to Chongqing. Our guide will pick you up at Chongqing airport. Visit the Great Hall, Yangtze River Museum and Hongyadong Park if time permits. Your memorable Yangtze River tour begins at 22:00pm as you board the luxurious cruise ship. 

 

Day 12 Have your tour on Yangtze River Cruise 

At about 08:30am, visit the "Ghost City "of Fengdu. The Captain's Welcome Party will be held this evening. 

 

Day 13 Have your tour on Yangtze River Cruise 

Visit Badong and take a small junk to enjoy the marvelous spectacles of the nature in the Shennong Stream. Continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge. 

 

Day 14 Yichang-Shanghai 

Disembark for an excursion to the under constructed Three Gorges Dam. After lunch, pack your luggage and complete check-out procedures. Drive to Yichang, visit the Yichang Museum if time permits. Take a flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, the guide will pick you up from airport and drive you to hotel, the rest time is on your own.

 
Day 15 Shanghai one day self tour 

Today, you have your own day for Shanghai tour. You can visit and feel this city by yourself.
 
Day 16 Shanghai one day tour 

Visit Yu Garden -one of the best Suzhou-style gardens in southern China. Then we will visit Jade Buddha Temple (famous Buddhist temple in downtown), and Shanghai Museum - known as the Museum of Ancient Chinese Art, where you will find more than 120,000 precious and rare works of art. Visit Nanjing Road and the Bund -famous waterfront with art-like buildings in China, the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. Transfer you back to hotel after the whole day tour. 

 

Day 17 Departure from Shanghai 

You will get to the airport to board your homeward flight. End the trip.
