2012 Happy City Mayors Forum held in Lhasa during the Shoton Festival.

2012 "Happy City Mayors Forum" jointly sponsored by Channel for Finance and Economics of CCTV, and Municipal People's Government of Lhasa City was held on Sunday in Lhasa during the Shoton Festival. The theme of this year's forum was "city in the future, new points to raise the happiness index of city life".Delegations from over 10 cities across the country including Taiyuan city in Shanxi Province, Yinchuan city in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Hefei city in Anhui Province and Xining city in Qinghai Province attended the forum. Mayors from these cities shared their viewpoints on how to find new points to raise the happiness index of city life.
Many noted economists and experts from Beijing University, Tsinghua University, China Development Institute, China Society of Urban Economy attended the forum and held lectures on city development.
