More than 9 million tourists went to Tibet in the first three quarters
According to the Tibet Tourism Bureau,9.02 million tourists in total have visited Tibet up to now, increasing by 26 percent over the same period last year,which hit a record high in tourist arrivals in the first three quarters this year.
The growth rate of tourist arrivals in the first three quarters has maintained at above 20 percent despite the fact that the number of foreign tourists has decreased. On the whole, tourism in Tibet has developed steadily.
The tourist arrivals have brought a revenue of 10.3 billion yuan, comparing with the record in the same period last year, it was up by 37 percent.
In order to overfulfil this year's task,Tibet will enhance efforts to attract more tourists through better propaganda work and service in the last quarter.
