A national park at Namtso Lake was unveiled in Tibet
2012-10-23,a national park was unveiled at Namtso, a holy lake for Tibetan Buddhist pilgrims and a tourism destination near the Tibet Autonomous Region's capital of Lhasa.It marks that the world's most advanced national park management mode is successfully applied in the tourism of this autonomous region.
The Namtso National Park is Tibet's second national park following the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon National Park, which opened in 2010.The park located between Damxung County and Bangoin County in Nagqu Prefecture.In addition to the lake,The park also includes the main peak of Mt. Nyanchen Thanglha and Yangbajain, a place known for its hot springs.
Tourism functions as the ecological experience, holiday experience, folk experience and science education will be presented at the same time.The park will be open to tourists all year long.
