Two New Year festivals is coming in Tibet

The 2013 Tibetan New Year falls on February 11, just a day later after the Spring Festival. Celebrating the two New Year festivals in Tibet will become a tourist highlight during the holiday.

 

During Tibetan New Year, monks and local Tibetans will hold ceremonies to celebrate the New Year when tourists can not only appreciate the beautiful Tibetan scenery but also participate in the grand celebrating occasions.

 

Jokhang Temple will hold grand worship ceremony during the Tibetan New Year when tourists can hear monks chanting sutras and watch the grand scenes such as Tibetans with folk costumes worshipping Buddha.
