DreamWorks plans to produce an animated film based on Tibet Code novel in Tibet
DreamWorks, an American movie maker, has announced a plan to produce a Tibetan themed animated film with its Chinese counterpart during the 3rd Beijing International Film Festival from April 16 to 23.
The movie is based on the Tibet Code adventure novel, which follows the adventures of a Tibetan mastiff searching for ancient Tibetan Buddhist treasures.
The movie reflects the wisdom of Tibetan people and also shows the fraternity of the Tibetan and Han culture.
Han Sanping, chairman of China Film Group Corp., described the movie as a vehicle to portray "Chinese values" and "Chinese morality" as well as its history, culture and landscape to the world.
"It's the perfect combination of content and form," said Han, who added that the Tibet Code "has all the makings of a world-class, quality, blockbuster franchise."
It is said that both sides are planning a Tibet Code themed park in Tibet.
