Sichuan-Tibet Highway (North Route)

Depart Chengdu in the morning, via the rain city Yaan, pass the Erlang mountain and cross the Luding Iro Bridge, arrive in the photograph paradise-Xinduqiao. Overnight in Xinduqiao.
 
Day 2 Xinduqiao/Bamei/Daofu 
Place & Transport: Xinduqiao- Bamei- Daofu
Today's Activities: Drive to Daofu

Take photos in the paradise place and then depart Xinduqiao, pass Gaoersi mountain then arrive in Bamei and then get to Daofu, overnight in Daofu.
 
Day 3 Daofu/Gangzi/ Manigango 
Place & Transport: Daofu- Ganzi- Manigango
Today's Activities: Drive to Manigango, visit Garzi Monastery

Depart to Gangzi after breakfast , visit Garzi Monastery which is the region's largest monastery, with over 500 monks. At last arrive in Manigango and overnight there.
 
Day 4 Manigango/ Derge 
Place & Transport: Manigango- Derge
Today's Activities: Bakong Scripture Printing Lamasery

Pass Que'er mountain(5050m) which is the highest and most dangerous mountain in Sichuan-Tibet high land. Visit the Bakong Scripture Printing Lamasery in the afternoon. Built in the Qing dynasty by the 42nd prefect of Dege, the lamasery is revered as one of the three most important Tibetan lamaseries, it stored in Dege makes up an estimated 70% of Tibet's literary heritage. Overnight in Derge .
 
Day 5 Derge/ Jiangda/Chamdo 
Place & Transport: Derge- Jingda- Chamdo
Today's Activities: Chambaling Monastery and Keruo ruins

Cross Jinsha river, and enter into the Tibet area, visit Chambaling Monastery and Keruo ruins on the way. Arrive in Chamdo and overnight in Chamdo.
 
Day 6 Chamdo/Bangda/Ranwu 
Place & Transport: Chamdo- Bangda- Ranwu
Today's Activities: Drive to Ranwu

Depart from Chamdo via the Bangda plain where locates the highest airport,and then arrive in Ranwu. Overnight in Ranwu.
 
Day 7 Ranwu/Bomi/Lunang Forest Park 
Place & Transport: Ranwu- Bomi- Lunang Forest Park
Today's Activities: Ranwu Lake, Lunang Forest Park

Visit Ranwu Lake, which is surounded by the thick forest. Then arrived in Lunang  town which means ?Dragon Valley? in Tibetan. It?s another wonderful scenary in Tibet. overnight at Lunang.
 
Day 8 Lunang Forest Park/Tongmai/Nyingchi 
Place & Transport: Lunang Forest Park
Today's Activities: Nyingchi, visit Ancient Cypress Forests

Depart from Lunang after breakfast, then arrive in Nyingchi, visit the Ancient Cypress Forests. overnight in Nyingchi.
 
Day 9 Bayi-Milin-Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon(Great  Place & Transport: Bayi- Milin- Bayi
Today's Activities: Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon

Pass the Milin-Yarlung Zangbo bridge, enjoy the Photographic paradise-- Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon(Great Bend)which is called the most beautiful valley in China and Photograph Paradise. Overnight in Bayi.
 
Day 10 Nyingchi- Draksum Tso-Lhasa 
Place & Transport: Nyingchi- Draksum Tso-Lhasa
Today's Activities:  Draksum Tso

After breakfast go and visit the holly land-- Draksum Tso which is the 4A scenic pot in China. Then pass by the Niyang river, arrive in Lhasa and overnight in Lhasa.
 
Day 11 Lhasa city tour 
Place & Transport: Lhasa one day tour
Today's Activities: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhore Street

After breakfast, drive to visit the wonder of the world - Potala Palace. After lunch ,visit Jokhang Temple and Barkhore Street. Overnight in Lhasa.
 
Day 12 Lhasa/Namtso Lake / Yangbachen hot-spring/Lhasa

Today's Activities: Namtso Lake and Yangbachen hot-spring

Day tour to Namtso Lake(4718m) via Yangpachen hot-spring. On the way you will see Nyenchen Thanglha snow mountain ranges, and also you will pass the Nagela Pass(5190m). Namtso Lake is the sky lake which is one of the three holy lakes, and also the highest salt lake. You can do a bit trekking at the lake side . On the way back , you will have a chance to have hot-spring at Yangbachen(4320m). Overnight in Lhasa
 
Day 13 Lhasa departure 
Place & Transport: Lhasa
