8-day Tour to Namtso/E.B.C

Day 1: Arrive in Lhasa

Arrive in Lhasa, pick you up and transfer to the hotel, check in and have a good rest. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Lhasa city

After breakfast, drive to visit the wonder of the world- Potala Palace (3700m)(1.5 hours ). After lunch, visit Jokhang Temple (1 hour)and Barkhore Street. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 3: Lhasa/Namtso Lake/Yangbache hot-spring/Lhasa (4-5 hours)

Day tour to Namtso Lake (4718m)(3 hours )via Yangpachen hot-spring. On the way you will see Nyenchen Thanglha snow mountain ranges, and also you will pass the Nagela Pass (5190 m). Namtso Lake is the sky lake which is one of the three holy lakes, and also the highest salt lake. You can do a bit trekking at the lake side. On the way back, you will have a chance to have hot-spring at Yangbachen (4320m)(self pay)(1 hour). Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 4: Lhasa/Yamdrok lake/Gyanstse/Shigatse (7 hours' driving)

Pass Gangbala Pass which is over 5000m, from there you will see Lake Yamdrok (4441m)(40RMB/p.p)which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Then drive back to Qushui, along with the Nepal friendship way to Gyantse, visit the famous Kumpum Stupa (3980m) in Gyantse. Overnight at Shigatse.

Day 5: Shigatse/Lhatse/New Tinggri (Shegar)/Rongbuk Monastery/E.B.C (6-7 hours' driving)

Early morning start driving to Rongbuk via Shegar (4250m ). The road is a bit rough, on the way you will cross over Gyatsola Pass at 5,220 m, which is the highest enroute.
Rongbuk is the highest monastery (5154m) in Tibet, still a good point to see Mt.Everst. Afternoon start trekking from Rongbuk to E.B.C (5250m), it takes about 2 hours. Or you can take tour bus (30rmb/per person). Overynight at E.B.C tent Guesthouse(dorm beds).

Note: The entrance fee of Mt. Everest Base Camp is 180rmb/per person. Then Entry fee of the Landcruiser to E.B.C. is 400rmb, mini van is 600rmb. If the weather is quite good there ,you will have a chance to see the sunset.

Day 6: Mt. Everest Base Camp/Rongbuk/Shigatse (7-8 hours' driving)

If you are lucky enough, you will see sunrise at E.B.C, then go back to rongbuk and start driving back to Shigatse. Overnight in Shigatse.

Day 7: Shigatse / Lhasa (7 hours' driving)

Morning visit the Bachen Lama Set-Tashilunpo Monastery which was Built in1447 by the first Dalai Lama. Afternoon drive back to Lhasa along Yarlong Tsangpo river by the Nepal friendship road. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 8: Lhasa departure

See you off, end the tour.
