Day by day Itinerary:
Day01: Shanghai/Beijing/Chengdu/ Xian flight to Lhasa ( 80km, asphalt road, 3595m, 15-19centigrade) Overnight at Lhasa stander room
- Depature from Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Guangzhou, Chongqin: You will use your copy of your Tibet Entry Permit, your passport and flight ticket change the broding pass flight to Lhasa by yourself.
- Depature from Chengdu: Morning time our staff pick you from your hotel in Chengdu then dropping of you to Chengdu airport help you check in. 2 hour fligth you will arrive at Lhasa Gongga airport. Tibet local guide will pick you from airport to Lhasa city. Rest in hotel.
Day02: Lhasa city tour Overnight in Lhasa
Morning time visit Potala Palace. Then visit Jokhang Temple, walk around Barkhor Market.
Day03: Lhasa city tour Overnight at Lhasa stander room
Morning time visit Norblingka Palace,afternoon to Tibetan Museam.Night time have chance tast Tibetan cuisne and Tibetan culture show(own expense)
Day04: Lhasa- Yamdrotso Lake- Gyantse- Shigatse( 440km, 6 hours driving, asphalt road in good condition , 3700m, 10-17 centigrade) Overnight at Shigatse
Driving pass Gangbala Mt. which is over than 5000m, then to Yamdrotso lake which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Arrive at Gyantse, visit Gyantse Kumbum, far view of Gyantse Dzong. Then driving to Shigatse. After lunch visit TashiLumpo Monastery which was Built in1447 , spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas.
Day05: Shigatse- Namtso Lake- Bali Village- Droja Monastery(550km, 7 hours driving, rough road, 4718m) Overnight in Tent
Head for Namtso Lake by bus. The Mani Gounds and streamers at the pass of Galmud are very splendid. Droja Monastery, which was built in 1716, was the biggest monastery around the lake.
Day06: Namtso Lake-Droja Monastery- Buguzari- Ampa Komlong Island( Trekking) Overnight in Tent
Start to trek. Visit the caves in Buguzari, where many animals, plants and special letter-shaped patterns can be seen. Camping.
Day07: Buguzari- Kado Nanka Island- Ampa Komlong Island(Trekking) Overnight in Tent
Kado Nanka Island is a holy land, where there are lots of figures of Buddha and cave. There was Kado Monastery on the island but it was ruined during the Cultural Revolution. Fortunately there are the traces. Here is exactly the opposite side of the Mt. Tanggula and there are several grand stone standing so they are called the Gate of Tanggula that are very splendid. We can see many mongolian gazelles.
Day08: Ampa Komlong Island- Jiachangcuiguo- No. 1 Camp(Trekking) Overnight in Tent
Jiachangcuiguo Yumen, which means the place to bath, is one of the four famous Yumens of Namtso Lake. It is said that people who bath here can get rid of evils and have good luck. The sand road around the lake many make you tired. Camping.
Day09: No. 1 Camp- Nam Township- Zhaxi Peninsula(Trekking) Overnight in Tent
At this moment, we have rounded the lake. Zhaxi Peninsula is the largest peninsula around the lake, which is a tent town now. A great number of Tibetan people from different pastoral areas come here to meet and pilgrimage. It is very lively. Dorm bed.
Day10: Zhaxi Peninsula- Damxung- Lhasa Overnight in Lhasa
In the end, we will round the the Zhaxi Peninsula. That is the whole trekking stuff. Then we will drive back to Lhasa.
Day11: Lhasa airport or train station dropping off.
Dropping off end the trip.
