Day 2 Sight-seeing in Lhasa city

Today's Activities: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhore Street

Day tour in Lhasa downtown, visit Potala Palace(3700 k.m 1.5 hours ) and Jokang Temple. Potala Palace was built in 7th AD and now becomes Lhasa's cardinal landmark. Walk round in Barkhore street where we can easy find many kinds of local Tibetan souvenirs. Overnight in Lhasa.
 

Day 3 Sight-seeing in Lhasa city

Today's Activities: Tibet museum,Norbulink Palace and Drepung Monastery

In the morning, visit the first modern museum in Lhasa - Tibet museum. And Norbulinka Park which is just nearby. The name Norbulink means a glittering gem on the Tibetan highland. Head to Drepung Monastery in the afternoon. Overnight in Lhasa.

 
Day 4 Sight-seeing in Lhasa city

Today's Activities: Ganden monastery and Sera monastery

After breakfast, visit Ganden monatery(1.5 hours driving ), 60kms east of Lhasa, the originator of Yellow Hat sect. In the afternoon, sight-seeing in Sera Monastery which is one of the three great monasteries in Lhasa. Overnight in Lhasa.
 

Day 5 Sight-seeing in Lhasa city

Day 6 Lhasa/Nyingchi / Draksum Tso /Bayi  (8 hours driving )

After breakfast, drive from Lhasa to Nyingchi. On the way you will pass Mila Pass, enjoy the scenery along the Niyang River. Afternoon drive to visit Draksum Tso(3470k.m). Overnight in Bayi Town.
 
Day 7 Bayi/ Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon /Bayi   (6 hours driving )

Day 8 Bayi-Lhasa  (7 hours driving )

Today's Activities: Samye Monastery

Drive back, today you will have a chance to visit Samye monastery(3630 K.M), you will do ferry to the monastery, have some time for trekking if time permits. Overnight in Lhasa
 

Day 9 Lhasa-Yamdrok lake-Gyantse-Shigatse  (7 hours driving )

Depart from Lhasa city, drive to Gyantse. On the way, dazzling Yamdrok-tso Lake(4441 k.m) can be seen from the summit of the Kamba-la pass(4794m). Yamdrok is one of Three Holy Lake in Tibet. Visit Pelkor Chode Monastery in Gyantse(3980k.m). The Monastery is founded in 1418, notable for its superb Kumbum Chode(10,000 Images Stupa). Then head to Shigatse(3840K.M). Overnight in Shigatse.

 
Day 10 Shigatse-Lhatse-Tingri  (6 hours driving )

Today's Activities: Tashilhunpo Monastery and tombs of Panchen Lamas

Morning visit the Bachen Lama Set - Tashilunpo Monastery(3840 k.m ), which was Built in1447 by the first Dalai Lama. Then the spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas. Overnight in Tingri hotel.

 
Day 11 Tingri-Jilong Valley-Mt.Everest Base camp  (3 hours driving )

Jilong town is also called Jilong groove, the landscape and the climate is very good. that is the one mountain have four seasons different climate in ten Chinese miles.If you be there, that you will have a new feeling. Overnight in E.B.C(5250 k.m) or Rongbuk monastery(5154 k.m).

 
Day 12 Mt.everest Base camp-Nyalam-Zhangmu(Nepal border)  (9 hours driving )
Place & Transport: Mt.Everest-Nyalam-Zhangmu
Today's Activities: Mt.Everest

If the weather is nice, maybe you will clear view for the Mountain Everest. Then you can have some trekking there, non-pollution bus is popular there instead of animal carriage. Pass Nyalam, then arrive in Zhangmu, the last county between China and Nepal. Overnight in Zhangmu.
