Baidi Chang
Baidi Chang
Baidi city we see today is a group of architectural structures built during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. It is the best place to view the Kui Gate. Many men of the letters had been there to view the Kui Gate, and capticated by its beauty, left countless poems, for example, Li Bai (701-762)'s Through the Yangtze Gorges and Liu Yuxi (722-842)'s bamboo branch ci (a kind of Chinese poetry). The city is also known as city of Poems.
