Tibetan Festival Calendar for 2016
Festivals are lively events that bring together Tibetans from all over the plateau. The more than 100 major and minor festivals that take place throughout the year include horse racing, dancing, singing, praying, and displays of religious artwork.Each area of Tibet has its own distinctive style.
Here is a list of mainly Tibetan Festivals and corresponding festival dates in 2016,such as Tibetan New Year ,Shoton and Saga Dawa. If your travel schedule allows, it is worth arranging a tour to Tibet when festivals are taking place.
